This is then my house. I'm on the ground floor and Valentine on the second.

And this is my street. Look at the houses and you can understand why it is easy to get lost (especially if there are couple streets more like that).

These are the two next door bars. I have never been to the white one (even that Piero says all the time, that there's the best beer. For me, this bar looks a bit strange, because there's almost always nobody. The green one ise the irish bar. On every Tuesday there is live music.

This morning (Sunday), I was there already at 9am, with Giovanni, Valentine and some French students. Not to have a beer, but to watch the rugby watch France vs. Wales. France won... thanks God, because then we couldn't see anymore an old mans butt (when Wales scored, he stood up on his couch, turned around and lifted up his Wales flag, which he wore as a kilt...). So, these old guys re-invited us for the next weekend. Then there's the final.

So finally...

I know, I promised a new story already for the Friday/Saturday, but I have been terribly busy (trying to avoid to say too lazy to write the blog).
I arrived to England already on the 23rd of September having had a wonderful trip Paris-Dijon-Paris (Thank you, Maija, Sandra, Kairiin, Constance and my all other wonderful friends, who I saw during my trip!). I spent a fantastic weekend in London (thank you, Hanna Laura, Mattias and Heidi!) and on Monday, the 26th of September, in the morning, I arrived to Coventry. After passing by the University to collect my house key, I arrived to my new (again) home, on the Craven street. The taxi driver already mentionned me that on my street, there are 4 bars (he was wrong, there are 5 of them and the sixth just around the corner). Moreover, two of them are just next doors to my house.
I was the first one who arrived ( I had no clue, who are the other 3), so there was a bunch of letters (and flyers) for the last tenants behind the door. I hardly managed to open it. Of course in this house, we had nothing. No plates, artillery for eating (or preparing the food). We had only furniture. Still, instead of going to Ikea (which I found on my way to the centre or presumably to the center), I went to buy some food! When I finally got back, I discovered from my house a newcomer! Valentine, a 20years old French girl from Lille! So... we went back to Ikea. Of course... speaking in French. When we were getting back, we were already anxious, if there's somebody new in our house. I felt myself like being in a reality show - "Who comes next? Is it a boy or a girl?" And, when we entered the house, we heard in a moment an italian accent: "Hello!". And this was our 27 (soon to be 28) years old Giovanni from Trieste.... who had also done some shopping in the Ikea. So we have some things in double. Oh well.. who cares. So already on the first night, we went to the bar, with the other Erasmus students. As I heard later, some of them arrived already for the weekend, so they already knew each other. Later this night, I managed to get lost, when I was getting back home alone (Valentine was already back at home and Giovanni decided to stay with others for a while). I admit that I took some beers, but this getting lost wasn't their fault. It was the fault of the streets. They look all the same! At least, now, I know, that my street is the third one after the railbridge, the first one after the traffic lights!
The next day, Valentine left for the campus for a week (she was the only of us, who did the orientation program), so guys stayed home alone. We kind a enjoyed it, arranging the house and having beers during the evenings and when Valentine got back for the weekend, we had a little (with around 25people) pre-party before going out. And during this party, somebody was so intelligent that he (or she) managed to put the burning hookah ash to our garbage bin... so there is a little hole in it.. nice. Later, we went to the local club, Kasbah. Quite an intresting experience. A club, with 3 rooms, where was 3 different style of music (rock, very-very bad pop and minimal/house/electro, which was obviously cool). During this night, I managed to leave an impression to couple of DJ's, that I'm a party promoter (sorry, I'm not!). Also, this was the night, where I became an estofrench. There was couple of french girls who came to our place for the pre-party. They told me that they are french and I replied in a second: "Me too!" (In french obviously). Oups... I'm still sometimes forgetting that I'm an estonian (actually not).
Later, during other days (or evenings), when I have been talking french to somebody, there's always a spanish or italian who turns to me and says, that he/she thought that I'm not a french but somebody from... Estonia. Yes, someone has problems to remember the name of this little beautiful country.
Anyway, for now, school has lasted for a week already and I have finally my schedule, which (thank God!) leaves me a chance to have some trips in England (I'm free from Thursday afternoon until the Monday afternoon. Great!), if I'm not reading. And seriously... the professors gave us such lists of readings that at first, I thought they were joking (e.g. one professor gave us for this week 10books to read... entirely!).
So, I'll finish for a moment... and start reading (again).

Bises,

btw. I'm probably the best chessplayer in the University of Warwick. But about that latet.

3 comeback attempt... this time in English.

Long time, no see.

So... finally, after reading the blogs of Kris, Jana, Leyla and my dear friends in Paris, I decided to continue with my blog, which I abandoned one year ago. This time in English. Why? There is a couple of reasons: first of all, I have too many friends from too many different nationalities, so it's the best to write about my life in a language, which everybody can understand. The second main reason is to improve my English, at least my writing. So, if somebody saw some grammar mistakes, I kindly ask you to inform me (you all know my e-mail address on hotmail, I hope...). Anyway, I have spent here in Coventry already a week and half, in England almost 2weeks. I have already a lot to tell, so between reading the books (I have already a lot to read), I'll try to catch the actuality by a little summary tomorrow or on Saturday.
Anyway... I think, I'm already getting used to the life in England... at least today, I already looked first on my right, when I was crossing the street. YES! After almost two weeks in England, I am starting to get to used to the their bizarre traffic system! But still, I'm not getting the reason for having two taps, moreover, with a big gap between them...

Anyway, the estonian-french (I'll explain it later) Kaarel says goodbye, because he wants to go to see the first meeting of a University Chess society.

ilm on ilus, tuju on hea.

üks päev enne oli keegi kooliaias rohtu niitnud. rohu lõhn oli isegi koolimajas sees. suvi tuli meelde...

laupäeval suplesin Kir'i järves. keegi pidi ju võrkpalli ära tooma... soe oli, 12 kraadikest vast.

All klõpsisin paar pilti. Üks on siin:

Kaarel
